Elin is Funded!
A new Microfinance entrepreneur is freshly minted and full of hope!
Thanks to the generous investment of a wonderful couple that attended our CareLink Meson Sabika reception last week, we will provide Elin with a $1,000. Microfinance loan to start her new business.
About Elin:
A hard-working and determined single mother of a 13 year old daughter, Crissel, Elin lives in the outskirts of Tegucigalpa and dreams of a future for Crissel. Hoping to provide her daughter with hope and a path to escape the poverty and difficulties of the neighborhood. Elin has worked part-time for a variety of office jobs, and has been a CareLink volunteer, giving with her time and passion for helping others. Our experience with Elin has shown her to be a reliable and capable woman, and therefore very likely to be able to apply her grit and work-ethic to her new business. Her desire to provide a good life for her daughter will motivate her.
Elin’s photocopy and print shop will be up and running soon. She will re-pay her loan over a period of 18 months, and we will recycle these repayments and fund new businesses. Microfinance is sustainable!
