When you give a girl the gift of education, that gift lives on for generations

Microfinance is a powerful force for good in the developing world. It is empowering, sustainable, and it also "Pays Forward" the life-changing gift of small business for years to come. For example; many of the women whom CareLink funds, use some of their business profits to send their children to school. Often, these children are able to attend school for the very first time! The benefits to these children, particularly girls that are often overlooked and marginalized by the Honduran culture and society, is enormous! Paying it forward for these girls means they are empowered to achieve:

• Greater literacy

• Higher future wages

• Faster income growth

• A reduction in the likelihood of pre-marital sex

• Delays in their first pregnancy / birth

• Improved nutrition, access to vaccinations, and medical services

• An opportunity to attend college and break the cycle of poverty

So, helping a disadvantaged woman get funding for her new business enables her to "pay it forward to her daughter!" This simple act of goodness changes the trajectory of young women's lives forever.
