A Message of Hope
Your investments have provided a bright young girl with an education,
hope, and a future!
Most of you know that the inspiration for my book Because There Was Margoth, is an
incredible and hardworking woman in Honduras. Yes, there is a “real” Margoth!
Margoth was CareLink’s very first Microfinance business, and she is a true success
story.
What you may not know is that Margoth has used some of her tortilla business profits
over the years to send her daughter, Bessie, to high school. This is an unfathomable
luxury for most of the individuals suffering from extreme poverty in the developing world.
Bessie is a bright cheerful girl and a diligent student who is excelling in school. Her
grades, and the profits from her mother’s business, will enable her to pursue her dream
of attending the National University next year - to study to become a nurse.
The most effective way to secure a future for a young person is to provide them with an
education. Nearly all of our Microfinance business owners use a portion of their profits
to send their kids to school.
YOUR investments create hope and a future for our next generation.
Microfinance pays forward!
